What’s In My ASOS “Saved List”?

Despite being sat in my room watching the rain pour down my window, I'm sat with my open wardrobe concept on my left looking rather bright and colourful. As someone who you could always find in a band tee and a pair of black skinny jeans and converse I feel as though my wardrobe has definitely matured a lot over the past year or so. I feel confident in the clothes I wear and I'm actually loving the random pops of blue and red hues you can see filtering through my rail... you can even find a pair of pink culottes which I absolutely love. As I write this blog post I have literally just finished clearing out my wardrobe, swapping things around and getting rid of any unwanted tat, or things I just can't see myself wearing again. I'll be honest in saying, I purchased a lot of new summer clothes before my trip to Mykonos, and while I love the majority of the newer items, there are a few bits I regret purchasing and so have pulled out of my wardrobe and passed to a better home. My wardrobe has a good balance of work appropriate, going out and "chilling around the house" clothing, but as I cleared through my wardrobe I did find a few gaps. Naturally, within a few clicks I was on ASOS and adding a few things to my "saved items" list. I thought it would be fun to share with you a few of the bits that caught my eye. I'm not really one for doing hauls anymore, but I thought this would be something a little different. I know the likes of Alix from I Covet Thee and Lily from LLYMLRS have done this type of thing before and I loved snooping through their lust list!

I never really used to be a dress kinda gal unless it was a very special occasion, nowadays I love how simple they are. You don't need to think about "does this top go with these bottoms", you just throw it on and you're out the door pretty much. ASOS for me are absolutely killing it right now, every single one of the above saved dresses (apart from that gorgeous monochrome gingham dress) are ASOS own brand. I love the variation of floaty day dresses to the more carefully designed evening dresses. Of course, the ASOS Premium Midi Skater Dress With Floral Embroidery is an absolute must have. I saw Kate La Vie and Alix (I Covet Thee) rocking this dress and instantly went on the hunt. Although it's pricey, and I'm not really sure I have any occasion to really wear it, I'm definitely lusting over it at the moment. I think this would look absolutely stunning at a summer wedding, or any special event, but you could definitely tone this down with a trench coat and maybe some sandals if you wanted a more dressed up day time look.

I love how effortless and comfortable smock dresses are to wear so you'll have noticed that a few have made the cut. The ASOS V Neck Smock Dress in that gorgeous dusty pink shade has caught my eye a few times, I think it's absolutely stunning and so versatile. It would look stunning paired with some converse or a pair of heels and some gold jewellery. Similarly, I've seen the ASOS Gingham Smock Dress in that gorgeous striking red in a few hauls recently and it's not difficult to see why. Again, you can easily dress it up or down depending on the event. Tea Dresses aren't usually my thing, but I'm absolutely smitten with the print of that ASOS Curve Button Through Tea Dress in the most beautiful tropical print. Can you tell I really have a thing for red tones at the moment? Something that's a little more in my monochrome comfort zone is the Plain Studios Cold Shoulder Gingham Smock Dress. While this number would be absolutely perfect for the warmer months, you could easily pair it with some tights and some boots in the colder months too!

I'm not really a fan of having the tops of my arms out so tend to avoid vest tops like the plague, so this gorgeous ASOS Cold Shoulder Lace Top in Black is perfect, obviously it's very sheer so you'd probably have to wear something under it unless you're confident enough to rock it without. I think this would look stunning with a floaty midi skirt, a pair of black jeans or just a simple black pencil skirt. It's definitely the type of thing that would see you through to the colder months too if paired with a chunky knit cardigan. I'm having a really thing for blue at the moment so that gorgeous ASOS Ruffle Blouse in a cornflower blue is perfect for me at the moment, I love how floaty it is and how versatile it is too! Despite saying that I'm not a fan of vest tops, this stunning ASOS Cropped Cami with a button down front is absolutely stunning, again, I love the bold pop of red and the floral print. This would look gorgeous with high waisted midi skirts and a thin cardigan or jacket and some statement sunglasses! A white lace top is a summer essential in my opinion and so this New Look Dobby Mesh Lace Top is definitely on my radar. The only thing is that it is a petite number and I do tend to opt for a longer top to cover a little more of my stomach, paired (again) with a high waisted midi skirt however it could definitely work! Last but not least is the Miss Selfridge Ruffle Tie Blouse which is definitely something a little different for me. Definitely let me know your thoughts on that one as I'm not 100% sure.

I have a real thing for midi skirts, hence why you'll notice I've picked two in this selection, one Fashion Union Tiered Midi Skirt In Tulle Pleat, the other an ASOS Tiered Pleated Midi Skirt in Blush Pink. I'm not sure I need both as they are very similar, however, they are gorgeous and I definitely want them both... I find Midi-Skirts to be extremely flattering on my shape and build, they pull me in at the waist and float over everything else. I love the way they hit my mid-calf and definitely need more of them in my life. I also picked this New Look Eastern Jacquard Mini Skirt for days I do feel like something a little shorter. This would look stunning with a thin knit jumper and my knee high boots too! Jeans are an essential part of my wardrobe and these stunning Warehouse Bleached Cropped Flare Jeans are just stunning, I have a darker wash from New Look with a frayed edge that I love and wear on a regular basis, perhaps a lighter wash and neater cut edge are needed too? For days I don't want to wear jeans, or can't wear them for work, a simple black trouser is essential. I've been on the lookout for the perfect pair and these ASOS Cigarette Trousers fit the bill perfectly. I actually already own them in a stunning cornflower blue and so I know I love the fit... I can definitely see these making their way into my wardrobe very soon!

Definitely let me know what you like and think I should buy, and what's currently on your lust list!
